“I joined Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf in June 2006 as a Management Trainee, spending seven months as a Concierge, followed by six months as a Housekeeping Supervisor. After graduating from the programme, I was promoted to the position of Overnight Hotel Supervisor and then to Assistant Front Office Manager.
The programme was very well planned and had clear goals. Even though I started with two other MITs, our programmes were tailored to our individual objectives.
My training was very well structured and closely monitored by my Department and Division Heads. These regular discussions and appraisals helped me to see my strengths and weaknesses and to discover ways to improve myself. Just like guests’ expectations are exceeded when they stay at Four Seasons, so were mine as an employee. With their guidance, my supervisors have played a crucial part in my development to become a better manager.
Through the MIT programme, I was able to identify my goals more clearly. I have now moved out of hotel operations and am discovering new horizons in my position as a Group Sales Coordinator in the London Worldwide Sales Office.”
